Private by principle
Your whole register — people, sources, and every photo — exports at any time in open, standard formats. Never gated. It is your data, so you keep it or re-upload it whenever you like.
Export your register, verify it, and erase your presence entirely — down to our backups. Deletion means deletion.
Printed keepsakes are coming soon. When they arrive, ordering one will hold the print file for 90 days in case a reprint is needed, then delete it automatically — both dates shown up front.

Today it comes as a print-ready book PDF — the large-format, cloth-bound edition is coming soon. Start with a card; the book is waiting for when the register has grown into it.
Good to know
Your data as GEDCOM, the industry standard — and as GEDZIP with every photo bundled in, the media most exports quietly drop. Keepsakes come as print-ready PDF, high-resolution PNG, and clean vector SVG. Your whole register also exports as one encrypted .key file. All open, all portable.
We'd rather not. This is a way to shape and export your family history, not a place to store it. Hold your register yourself as a key file, or let us host it to collaborate — and wipe it from our servers, backups included, whenever you want.
The key file lives with you: private, offline, free, opened only when you upload it. Hosting keeps the register on our server so the family builds it together, for a fee. Move either way at any time.

Maybe not — which is why the export is the product. Everything you build comes out as open files with your photos attached, and re-imports to rebuild the register from scratch. You can take it all and erase us today, and nothing you made stops working.
No, and we're not trying to replace them. They hold the records, the hints, and the searching — we do none of that. Import your tree here (GEDCOM 5.5.1 or 7.0, photos included) and print what it was all for.
You could, and some people should. It's an evening in a design tool, four generations laid out by hand, and you start again from nothing at the next birth. Here the register does the layout, and the next card is a minute's work.
